Dataroom
A SAFE SPACE FOR ALL IMPORTANT DOCUMENTATION
The Data Room duplicates one of the learning modules and as a feature on the panel. We aim to improve the share feature on the data room without breaking privacy.
- Education – we have provided explanations and guidance on what should be included in a typical data room.
- Requirements – the Due Diligence Sample Checklist helps teams to navigate how to continuously improve the data room collection and outlines the requirements for each folder within their data room collection
- Sharable – this data room is visible in two spaces. Within the learning module and also on the features panel. Currently *WIP* we are investigating tools that allow teams to share their room with external stakeholders.
The Instant Startup also fosters a collaborative environment where individuals, teams, and the broader support network—including mentors, coaches, and technology transfer officers—can interact in a unified space, focusing on one business venture at a time.
Enhancing the support provided by the Instant Startup are short guiding videos, relevant articles, training courses, and additional resources that builds on entrepreneurial knowledge and insights. By utilising templates and participating in worksheet activity outlined on the platform, teams are empowered to engage effectively with various stakeholders within both the university and market ecosystems.
The IS also creates additional capacity within a Technology Transfer Office and/or business incubator; by allowing their entrepreneurial groups to work at their own pace and timeframe(s) set within the IS platform. It is also a great filter to see which entrepreneurs are committed to success. The IS is tailor made for institutional spin-out companies in the South African context where the entrepreneur is often inexperienced.
